Best Karaoke Songs For Men: Top 20
Whether you're a Neil Diamond fanatic or prefer the musical stylings of Backstreet Boys, there's a karaoke song for everyone, and we at Lucky Voice have come up with the ultimate list of karaoke songs for guys to sing.
Of course, we 100% believe that anyone can sing whatever song they like regardless of gender, but we also appreciate that the average male’s vocal range tends to be on the tenor or bass side.
The likes of Daniel Bedingfield, Mika and Justin Hawkins prove that men can sing just as high as they want and sound darn good (gentlemen, we salute you!), but our recommended karaoke belters are a little easier to sing. That means no quick key changes or notes you have to practice for years to perfect. In fact, a good chunk of these you can simply shout if you prefer, perfect if you're just starting out in karaoke.
20 easy karaoke songs for men
So without further ado, let’s hop right into our list, which is in no particular order:
1) Oasis - Wonderwall
What a song! If you're looking for something to debut, then this is a fantastic choice, as chances are people will be singing along with you - which is a great feeling, trust us! It's also one of those songs you don't really need to sing to, and that chorus is just begging to be shouted!
2) The Proclaimers - 500 Miles
Ah, another classic tune that will have everybody in the karaoke bar up on their feet and screaming the lyrics with you. This is the epitome of an easy karaoke song for a beginner.
3) Frank Sinatra - My Way
This one, friends, does require singing, and while it’s nowhere near as forgiving as the previous recommendations, it’s still a much-loved song to many. And the great news is that no one ever expects this song to be sung in the silky smooth way good old Frankie used to sing it. It just had to make our list of best karaoke songs for men.
4) Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline
If you’re an England footie fan, you won’t even need the lyrics for this one. It’s one of those oddly beautiful songs that brings two unlikely groups together - sports fanatics and singers. It’s also incredibly fun (and easy) to sing.
5) Backstreet Boys - Everybody
This had to make it onto our list of easy and good karaoke songs for guys because it's, er, easy and, er, good to sing. Well, we say sing, it's mostly shouting and talking with attitude.
6) Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right To Party
This had to make it onto our list of easy and good karaoke songs for guys because it's, er, easy and, er, good to sing. Well, we say sing, it’s mostly shouting and talking with attitude.
7) Johnny Cash - Folsom City Blues
Pretty much any of Johnny Cash's songs are a superb choice for karaoke, but we particularly like this one. It's one of those songs that you can have fun with. Just mimic the country star's gravelly voice, and you're good to go.
8) Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up
Nope, there's no Rickrolling going on here; before this song became an internet prank (and sensation), it was a pretty catchy song. So if you're a fan of classic 80s music, dust this baby off and give it your all. It's so catchy; we couldn't exclude it from our list of best karaoke songs for guys.
9) The Human League - Don’t You Want Me Baby
OK, so this is a listicle of karaoke songs for men, but we wanted to include a duet just in case the opportunity cropped up. It's another fab song for beginners because a) you're not the only one up there, and b) the chorus can be proclaimed loudly - minimal vocal effort is needed.
10) Blue Swede - Hooked On A Feeling
Many remarkable things can be said about this song, but perhaps its most recent claim to fame is its inclusion in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. And if you want a song that will immediately grab your audience's attention, the intro to this song will certainly achieve that.
11) Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild
This had to make it on our list of best karaoke songs for men because, well, listen to it! It's got a great beat, fantastic rhythm, and the lyrics are easy to sing.
12) Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
Let's slow things down with a song that literally anybody can sing. Whether you go it alone or with a pal or two, this is a stunner of a song. If your hope is to leave not one dry eye in the house, you'll achieve it by nailing this song.
13) Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
This is another classic karaoke tune for you and your friends to sing. A stage is for sharing, after all! But remember, you don't have to don denim dungarees to do this song justice...that was a fashion choice on the band's behalf. However, what is expected is some epic air drums and guitar while you're up there.
14) The Rolling Stones - Start Me Up
You can sing this song with your Dad, but you don’t have to. This is yet another epic song that was let down by unfortunate fashion in the music video. If you’re looking for a karaoke song that will speak to multiple generations, choose this one.
15) Bon Jovi - It’s My LifeDid you know that this song resulted in Jovi being one of two Glam Metal bands that made it in the US top 50 charts? And you can see why. This song has bags of attitude and is a lot of fun to sing. We really dig the reference to Frank Sinatra too! It would have been a sin not to include this in our list of good karaoke songs for guys.
16) The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
This song is only three years younger than It's My Life, but wow, are they different! Make this your official karaoke song if you're looking for a super easy song that you can stay on beat with.
17) Iggy Pop - The Passenger
Now, we recommend singing this song. But as far as anything else Iggy Pop does, we draw the line at that. Do not; we repeat, DO NOT mimic his 'thing' of rolling in broken glass covered in peanut butter on stage. Just don't! The song stands up on its own.
18) AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Forget reducing your audience to tears; send chills down their spines with this song. The opening riff, come one! If that doesn't put you in the mood to sing, then nothing will. That alone was enough to put this song in our list of karaoke songs for guys.
19) The Killers - Mr Brightside
This versatile number can sound great whether sung as a solo or with a massive group. So if all of your mates ditch you at the last minute, you’ll still be safe, wow everybody, and put all your friends to shame. There’s no downside to singing this song.
20) Queen - Don’t Stop Me Now
Once you sing karaoke once, we bet you'll be singing these lyrics and really meaning them, as you'll be hooked on your new hobby. Don't Stop Me Now is easy to sing and will put everyone in an epic mood. So technically, you're providing a service by performing this.
How to start singing karaoke
Dare we say it, karaoke is the most fun you’ll have at a bar, but it’s understandable if you’re not ready to hop on stage straight away and start belting these tunes out.
Not to worry, though; we have everything you need to practice at home, including karaoke machines, the option to purchase additional mics (if you're practising with someone) and a plethora of songs to sing with our karaoke subscription service.
